Recommendation of Muslim Friendly Autumn Trip to Okayama!

Recommendation of Muslim Friendly Autumn Trip to Okayama!

Indonesian Influencer, Elya Anisa (@elyanisa_) recently in November, 2023 went to Okayama and enjoyed tons of fun autumn activities.

Through her trip, here are some places that are recommended for you when you come to Okayama!

On her short autumn trip to Okayama, Elya went to Okayama Korakuen Garden which is one of Okayama’s garden icons that has already been titled as one of the three best traditional gardens in Japan and awarded three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan tourism guidebook.

At the garden, not only are we able to take pictures and stroll around, but we can also go to the Sazanami Chaya Tea House to relax for a moment accompanied by a hot and relaxing green tea with a mesmerizing view of the garden.

Then we might as well buy ourselves some snacks too in the small and cute snack stall beside that.

Beside Okayama Korakuen Garden, you can also go to Okayama Castle, which is still in the same area, and learn a bit of Okayama’s culture that you cannot find anywhere.

or the first day of the trip, Elya Anisa stayed at one of Muslim Friendly hotels at Okayama which is Hotel Granvia. This hotel is famous for having a prayer room as well as providing Muslim friendly menu for the guests. So, Muslim guests do not have to worry when staying at this hotel.

On day 2, Elya went to Kibitsujinja Shrine which is known for its 360m long corridor surrounded by mesmerizing views of the garden inside the shrine. The fact that it was autumn, visitors are also able to enjoy the autumn foliage too.

For lunch, Elya and her husband went to eat at another muslim friendly restaurant that serves warm and comfortable Japanese sukiyaki at Hitori Nabe Megu. In this autumn weather, the comforting soup from the sukiyaki is just perfect, especially when the soup is also paired with Halal Australian beef.

To end the day, Elya Anisa stayed at Micchan’s House and she said that she had the best time here by learning how to make sushi and mochi from scratch. With the help of the host, Micchan’s House is not only providing good Halal food but also experiencing Japanese culture at its best.

By the morning of the next day, the couple are also able to learn to make mochi from scratch by pounding and kneading the dough by themselves.

It was a nice experience to stay for the night at Micchan’s farmstay. You should try it too!

Their last day at Okayama continued with going to Mt. Ojigatake is located at Seto Island and you will be offered a breathtaking view of the Seto Inland Sea.

You will also find varieties of big rocks in Mt. Ojigatake and what’s interesting is there is a rock that looks like a smiling face, called “Nico Nico Iwa”.

Near the top of the mountain, there is a stylish café called Belk, which has a full glass wall with an ocean view. The simple interior of the café will make you relax while enjoying a cup of coffee and feeling the great outdoors.

What do you think of this 3 days and 2 nights Okayama Autumn trip from Elya Anisa and her husband? Which place attracts you the most?

There are still tons of other places that you can enjoy while you are in Okayama. Make sure to come to Okayama and enjoy the beauty of every place that this city holds. Okayama will always be waiting for you! 😊
